Jokowi Asks Prabowo-Gibran To Work Immediately After Being Inaugurated

JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) advised the elected president and vice president, Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka, to immediately work after being sworn in in October 2024.

Jokowi wants Prabowo-Gibran to prepare himself with various work program planning as has been campaigned.

"Today the KPU has determined. What does that mean? The elected president and vice president must prepare themselves with the plans that have been campaigned to enter later after the direct inauguration of work," said Jokowi after opening the 2024 National Health Work Meeting (raker) at ICE BSD Tangerang, Banten, Wednesday 24 April.

Jokowi conveyed that all parties must respect the decision of the Constitutional Court (MK) regarding the final and binding 2024 presidential election.

"Yes, this is the stage of the process, everything is almost finished. The Constitutional Court has done, we must respect the Constitutional Court's decision as a final and binding decision," said Jokowi.

It is known that the KPU has appointed the elected president and vice president Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming at the KPU office, Jakarta, Wednesday (24/4/2024) after the Constitutional Court (MK) rejected Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud MD and Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar's lawsuit.

Prabowo Subianto also said that the 2024 presidential election process had been completed with his determination and Gibran Rakabuming Raka as president and vice president elected for the 2024-2029 period on Wednesday (24/4/2024) by the KPU.

Prabowo said that starting today, he and Gibran will work hard to prepare to lead Indonesia in the next 5 years.

"Thank you, we came to the KPU today, as part of the process that we are running together. The presidential election process has followed all of them. Today we accept a decree from the KPU and will then start working hard to prepare ourselves," said Prabowo when he arrived at the KPU, Jalan Imam Bonjol, Menteng, Central Jakarta, Wednesday (24/4/2024).
