Losing In The 2024 Presidential Election, Cak Imin Will Ask For Revision Of The Election Law

JAKARTA - Chairman of the National Awakening Party (PKB) Muhaimin Iskandar (Cak Imin) admitted that he would ask for a revision of Law Number 7 of 2017 concerning General Elections.

The Vice Presidential Candidate for the 2024 General Election said that his party would propose a revision of the Election Law because it saw a weakness in the arrangement for the implementation of the democratic contestation.

This was conveyed by Cak Imin while attending the appointment of Prabowo Subianto and Gibran Rakabuming Raka as president and vice president elected for the 2024 General Election. Cak Imin came with Anies Baswedan.

"Certainly (will propose a revision of the Election Law). Every 5 years we will definitely perfect all the weaknesses of our election law," said Cak Imin at the KPU RI office, Central Jakarta, Wednesday, April 24.

"Actually, PKB still wants a budget. The goal is to read in detail the weak point of the downturn of our democracy," he said.
