Subaru Ends Legacy Production In 2025

JAKARTA - Subaru announced that the Legacy sedan will end its production period at the end of spring 2025.

Legacy is the longest existing Subaru model, but it was stopped by the production of this model, not without reason, considering that the manufacturer is transitioning to electrification.

According to the brand's official website, Wednesday, April 24, Subaru intends to move to electric vehicles completely. Solterra is the first EV model presented by the company that has been sold in mid-2022. Moreover, the manufacturer with the'six star' logo will also produce eight EV models in 2028. Solterra is still the only environmentally friendly vehicle owned by Subaru.

Returning to Legacy, the model also experienced a downward trend in sales of up to 13.1 percent in the first quarter or as much as 4,398 in the United States (US), making it the third in sales the lowest besides Solterra and BRZ.
