Bandung City Government Discourses On CFD On Jalan Braga On Weekends

BANDUNG - The Bandung City Government (Pemkot) has announced that the implementation of the Jalan Braga area will be free from vehicles or car free day aka CFD on weekends.

Acting (Pj) Mayor of Bandung Bambang Tirtoyuliono said this was part of an effort to increase mobility and ensure a more enjoyable experience for those who visited one of the icons of Bandung City, namely Braga.

"Since being tested two months ago, the vehicle-free Braga has become a major concern in efforts to increase tourism and local community or cultural life," said Bambang in Bandung, West Java (West Java), Tuesday, April 23, as quoted by Antara.

Bambang explained, by offering a vehicle-free Braga Street not only reduces the burden of congestion, but also opens new opportunities for visitors to enjoy various events and attractions around the area.

"We believe that the vehicle-free Braga will be a step forward to beautify Bandung and provide a better experience for everyone who visits this city. One of them can by displaying our local cultural wealth," said Bambang.

In addition, this initiative also combines cultural and local community aspects, with strong cross-sectoral cooperation between Regional Governments, Transportation Agency, Satpol PP, Police and TNI officers, Disparbud, Regions and local communities.

"It is hoped that through Braga free of vehicles, Saturday and Sunday will be a more crowded time with various events and activities that will attract many visitors from various regions to come to the city of Bandung," he said.

Furthermore, Bambang assessed that the city of Bandung as a city of service and tourism must always increase the potential for tourism and culture. One of them is the arrangement in the Braga area.

"We all have the desire of one of the tourist destinations is Jalan Braga so that it can be enjoyed by Bandung residents and outside Bandung," he said.
