Cak Imin: We Admit That We Have Lost This Presidential Election

JAKARTA - Muhaimin Iskandar admitted that the 2024 presidential election contestation had ended with his defeat with Anies Baswedan as a presidential and vice presidential candidate after the Constitutional Court (MK) decision.

This was conveyed by Cak Imin after reporting the results of the 2024 presidential election dispute trial decision in an internal party management meeting at the PKB DPP office.

"With this Constitutional Court decision, our reaction admits that in this presidential election we have lost," said Cak Imin at the PKB DPP office, Central Jakarta, Monday, April 22.

The General Chairperson of the PKB hopes that Prabowo Subianto as the presidential candidate who wins the election can lead the country by maintaining the principles of democracy.

"We hope that Pak Prabowo with his leadership will be able to care for democracy in realizing a just, prosperous, peaceful and prosperous Indonesia," he said.

On the one hand, Cak Imin appreciated the dissent or dissenting opinion of the three Constitutional Court judges who saw that the presidential and vice presidential candidates' lawsuits should have been partially granted, as well as re-voting in areas whose implementation was deemed inconsistent with election principles.

The three judges at the Constitutional Court are Saldi Isra, Enny Nurbaningsih, and Arief Hidayat. "These are our proud figures who deserve to be role models in the future," he added.
