Indonesian Air Force Says Southeast Sulawesi Will Be Equipped With Halu Oleo Air Base To Support IKN Security

JAKARTA - The Airbase Commander (Danlanud) Halu Oleo (HLO) emphasized that the Indonesian Air Force in Southeast Sulawesi (Sultra) in the future will be equipped with combat air squadrons to support the security of the State Capital (IKN) in Kalimantan.

"So later supporting facilities at Halu Oleo Air Base will also be equipped in this effort," said Commander of the Halo Oleo Air Base Colonel (Pnb) Lilik Eko Susanto, at the commemoration ceremony for the 78th anniversary of the Indonesian Air Force in Kendari, Monday, April 22, which was confiscated by Antara.

He explained that one of the strategic reasons for forming a combat air squadron at Halu Oleo Air Base was because Hasanuddin Air Base had been maximal in terms of development areas.

"Because the land at Hasanuddin Air Base is already limited, Halo Oleo Air Base was chosen as a place for the formation of a new squadron to accommodate the new defense equipment that our country already has," he added.

In the ceremony to commemorate the 78th Anniversary of the Indonesian Air Force, Danlanud emphasized to Indonesian Air Force soldiers to be more prime in carrying out their duties and responsibilities in their duties.

"The Commander of the TNI advised that soldiers always be excellent in duty in accordance with the new Indonesian Air Force slogan, namely AMPUH," said Lilik conveying the message of the TNI Commander to all soldiers so that they can always appear in prime condition.

He explained that AMPUH itself stands for adaptive, modern, professional, superior and humane in serving and interacting with the community.
