Troubled Accelerator Pedal, Tesla Recall Cybertruck Around 3,800 Units

JAKARTA - Recently, Tesla announced the recall of 3,878 units of Cybertruck. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), the damage was found on the accelerator peda pad which may have been released and caught in the trim interior.

Reporting from Reuters on Saturday, April 20, this pinched pedal can cause vehicles to speed up accidentally, thereby increasing the risk of accidents.

The manufacturer, headed by Elon Musk, will charge or repair the accelerator pedal for free and the owner will be notified via a spray delivered to them this June.

Earlier in the first quarter of this year, the special EV auto brand launched three withdrawals that affected about 2.4 million units, according to a report from BizzyCar.

In addition, the Cybertruck model is also facing technical problems after leaving the production line, causing its delivery to customers to be delayed from early planning due to problems with the accelerator pedal.

Not only that, but Tesla Cybertruck users also complain about the quality. Like a stain that pollutes the exterior after driving it for two days in the rain. This also dismissed claims from the company, which said that the steel material on the exterior has a stainless ability.

In January, one of the users shared a photo of his Cybertruck showing the imperfections of the body, including an eight-inch gap in the rear panel that was not neatly attached.

The possibility of imperfections in this production could be caused by a variety of factors, including a possible lack of inspection before the vehicle is delivered to the customer, which now leaves uncertainty about the quality of the vehicle.
