There Is Still Liverpool's Asa For The Champion

JAKARTA - Liverpool coach Jurgen Klopp will leave Liverpool at the end of this season. Liverpool's chances of winning the Premier League were hampered thanks to a league defeat against Crystal Palace.

The German is now asking his team to focus on the last six Premier League games because the chances of winning are still open after the Reds are knocked out of the Europa League and the FA Cup.

Klopp wants Liverpool to take advantage of the fatigue experienced by leaders Manchester City who have to compete in the FA Cup against Chelsea on Saturday.

"I think if we win all the games, there is a good chance to become champions. Otherwise, that good chance belongs to another team," Klopp said as reported by AFP, quoted by ANTARA, Saturday, April 20.

Klopp assessed that the tight Premier League schedule made the leading teams could lose in crucial matches.

"Who would have thought Arsenal lost to Aston Villa?," Klopp said alluding to Arsenal's 0-2 defeat to Aston Villa last week.

"Okay, we think City can win all the games and that happens quite often, but they have a lot of games to play with difficult opponents," said the coach who lifted the suitcase from Liverpool late this season.

Liverpool have been City's main competitor for the Premier League title since 2017. In the last six seasons, The Citizen won the Premier League five times, while the Reds won once in 2020.

Manchester City temporarily lead the standings with 73 points, followed by Arsenal and Liverpool with 71 points.
