Nadiem: The Freedom Of Learning Movement Has A Positive Impact On Indonesian Education
JAKARTA - Minister of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology Nadiem Makarim stated that the Free Learning Movement has had various positive impacts on the world of education in Indonesia."Untuk mendorong Gerakan Merdeka Belajar, sangat membutuhkan pembantu yang luar biasa, mulai dari aspek waktu, tenaga, dan pikir,” katanya dalam keterangan di Jakarta, Jumat, 19 April.Nadiem said one of these achievements was to change the assessment system into a system that invites teachers to prioritize critical thinking and good ability.He explained that currently there are 100,000 Mobilizing Teachers throughout Indonesia who continue to encourage the Free Learning Movement to be applied in the future.In addition, the Ministry of Education and Culture through the Freedom of Learning Movement has also changed the total system to enter universities to be non-discriminatory.In fact, the world of education in Indonesia currently provides freedom for students for one year to be creative in society, carry out endowment funds in the cultural sector, and various kinds of innovations.Nadiem also appreciated the results of the hard work of the Kemendikbudristek team for various achievements in the last five years which require dedication, integrity, and hard work.
He hopes that the Freedom of Learning Movement will continue, be vibrant, and beneficial for all Indonesian people in the future. “ I feel proud to have great people in the Kemendikbudristek team,” he said.
