Police Will Order Retail Subsidized Fuel Sellers In Bengkulu Region

BENGKULU - The Bengkulu Regional Police (Polda) will control subsidized fuel sellers (BBM) such as pertalite and bio solar which do not have official or retail permits.The Director of Special Criminal Investigation (Dirreskrimsus) of the Bengkulu Police, Kombes I Wayan Riko Setiawan, explained that the control would be carried out after his party coordinated with related parties."Regarding this, we will still coordinate with the Department of Industry and Trade (Disperindag), the Mineral Data Source Energy Service (ESDM), Pertamina and other related parties," he said when confirmed in Bengkulu, Antara, Friday, April 19.He said, for the control plan, the Bengkulu Police would also coordinate with the Resort Police/Polresta in the Bengkulu area to take action.Then, all Kapolres or Kapolresta in the jurisdiction of the Bengkulu Police will also be asked to hold the same meeting with the local government, including related parties."We will order the Police Chiefs/Kapolresta to coordinate with the Regional Government and their respective parties because there may be regions that have other policies for this problem," said Wayan.Meanwhile, General Chairperson of the Indonesian Red and White Pertashop Association Steven as asked the public to be more selective in buying fuel.
"The public should buy fuel at official distribution agencies such as gas stations in Pertashop, which have guaranteed the quality as well as the quantity of the dose and vehicle owners can adjust fuel to the appropriate octane, such as Pertamax which is more environmentally friendly. After all, the price is not much different from Pertalite," he explained.Previously, in 2024 the Bengkulu Provincial Government received a subsidized fuel allocation of 267,716 kilo liters and a bio solar of 107,213 kilo liters.
