Dozens Of Sukabumi Residents Become Victims Of Bodong Investment
Sukabumi City Police revealed that around 13 Sukabumi residents were victims of CV AAP fraudulent investments engaged in the pawn rental business in one of the housing estates in Warudoyong District, Sukabumi City, West Java.
"Until now, 13 residents have reported to the Sukabumi City Police Satreskrim who claim to be victims of the fraudulent investment," said Sukabumi City Police Criminal Investigation Unit Head AKP Bagus Panuntun as reported by ANTARA, Thursday, April 18.
Dari keterangan saksi yang juga korban, menurut Bagus, CV AAP meminta sejumlah uang kepada para korban untuk dapat menghuni sebuah rumah di perumahan selama dua tahun sebagai syarat investasi.
After two years, he said, the funds will be returned to investors minus five percent in accordance with the agreements agreed by both parties.
"Of course, residents are tempted by the investment offered because they only spend money for two years and can get a house, there is even a return on capital," said Bagus.
However, he said, investors or victims were surprised after six months later the arrival of the owner of the house asking for rent extension money. They just realized they were victims of fraud under the guise of residential rental investment, which they later reported this case.
"The personnel of the Sukabumi City Police Satreskrim together with the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Warudoyong Police are still developing the case by examining witnesses, victims and marketing CV AAP companies," he said.
