Wife Of Victim Of Tiger Recorded In Samarinda Forgives Suspect
SAMARINDA - Head of Samarinda District Attorney's Office (Kejari) Firmansyah Subhan revealed that Suwarni, wife of Suprianda (27), a household assistant who was killed by a pet tiger in Samarinda, East Kalimantan, had forgiven the suspect, AS as the owner of the animal.
"In this case, the families of the victims on behalf of Suwarni, who is the wife of the victim, have forgiven the US. Friends of journalists can directly ask Mrs. Subwarni, which we are now presenting here," said Samarinda District Attorney, Firmansyah Subhan, as reported by ANTARA, Thursday, April 18.
The victim's wife has even appealed to the panel of judges for the suspect to be punished in the light, because both parties have taken the path of peace and the suspect gave compassion, even the victim's children will be sent to school.
Suwarni said she had directly forgiven the victim because she knew this was a disaster, without any intentional element, she had even long known that her husband's job was to feed her employer's tiger.
"Mr. AS is a good person, my late husband has been considered his own brother, so this kindness made me forgive and we agreed to take the path of peace. I also ask that Mr. AS be punished as low as possible," said Suwarni.
He has also signed a Peace Agreement with the US on December 13, 2023 with signatures on stamps. There are seven articles contained in the agreement letter.

Among the contents of the letter were the first party (US suspect) apologizing for the tragedy that occurred, expressing condolences and being willing to give compassion to the second party (the victim's family), as a form of moral responsibility personally.
The first party provided a cash rope worth IDR 250 million to the second party, provided a 10X15 meter plot of land on Jalan Muang Ilir Samarinda, and facilitated an educational scholarship worth IDR 50 million.
Meanwhile, the Head of General Crimes at the Samarinda Kejari, Indra Rivani, said that based on reports of morphological and molecular tests related to blood sampling and laboratory testing, the tiger that the suspect kept was the Bengal tiger, not the Sumatran tiger.
