Liga 1 2023/2024 Results: Madura United Beat Borneo 4-0

JAKARTA - Madura United won all three points in the 31st week of Liga 1 2023/2024. Visiting Borneo FC headquarters as the leader of the standings, Laskar Sapeh team lost four goals without reply.

Appearing at Batakan Stadium on Wednesday, April 17, 2024, afternoon WIB, Borneo FC who was comfortable at the top of the standings actually lost three points.

Madura United humiliated them after winning four goals through Malik Risaldi (44), Francisco Israel (52), Jaja (57), and Bayu Gatra (90+1).

Despite being a visiting team, Laskar Sapeh Kepap did not hesitate to dominate the match from the start. They even appeared aggressive in front of the host supporters.

They got their first golden opportunity in the fifth minute through Dalberto's hard kick which unfortunately still did not bear fruit.

Instead of opening the scoring, Borneo FC missed first in the 44th minute. The 1-0 score for the visitors was created by Malik Risaldi and lasted until halftime.

After the break, the tempo of the two teams did not decrease in the slightest. Borneo FC, who missed first, tried to catch up.

However, being fun attacking made them careless. Madura United were able to widen their lead to 2-0 through Francisco Rivera's goal in the 52nd minute.

Pesut Etam slumped five minutes later. Madura United scored the third goal through Hugo Gomes' leg after receiving a sweet pass from Francisco Rivera.

In the 60th minute, Borneo FC had a golden opportunity through Ahmad Nur Hardianto's header, but it was still slightly deviated.

Pesut Etam continued to attack Madura United's defense until the match entered its 75th minute, but still could not break the deadlock.

Laskar Sape Kerap's goal party did not stop with three goals. At the end of the match or to be precise in the 90+1 minute, Madura United again added the advantage to 4-0 through Bayu Gatra's goal which also closed the match with the visitors' victory.

The victory brought Madura United to continue to secure the top four with 50 points. Meanwhile, Borneo is still at the top of the standings with 70 points.
