AHY Said, 2,086 Hectares Of Troubled Land At IKN Because The Compensation Process Has Not Been Completed
JAKARTA - Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/National Land Agency (ATR/BPN) Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) said that the cause of 2,086 hectares of land in the capital city of Nusantara (IKN) is still problematic because of the unfinished compensation process.The Ministry of ATR/BPN is actually ready to issue land certificates for the land. However, the plan was hampered due to various factors outside the realm and authority of the ministry. These factors include the compensation process and handling social impacts.AHY emphasized the importance of resolving fair compensation and in accordance with the provisions so that the rights of the community are guaranteed. In addition, he also mentioned the need for handling comprehensive social impacts for residents affected by IKN development." “ We have communicated to the IKN authority and local government,” he told reporters in Jakarta, Antara, Tuesday, April 16. “ What is clear is that we want to make sure this can continue and that people's rights are not sacrificed,” he said.Previously, the settlement of the 2,086 hectares of land in the capital city of Nusantara had also been conveyed by President Joko Widodo to AHY during a working visit to IKN at the end of last February.AHY had conveyed his commitment to building IKN in East Kalimantan. In the early stages of development, he said his ministry would focus on dealing with land problems in the Central Government Core Area (KIPP).
In the National Working Meeting on March 7, AHY explained that the Ministry of ATR/BPN had completed nine detailed spatial planning (RTDR) IKN. In addition, 10 of the 21 land acquisition packages have also been completed. Thus, the progress of land package procurement at IKN that has been completed by the Ministry of ATR/BPN has so far reached 80 percent.
