Marcell Siahaan Doesn't Force His Three Children To Become Converts

JAKARTA - Singer Marcell Siahaan specifically explained his path regarding the beliefs that his three children would adopt. Marcell himself had changed religions twice until he finally anchored in Islam.

In a podcast with Daniel Mananta, Marcell says that he wants his three children, calm, Edga and Seth to be themselves when choosing beliefs.

"Because I want them to be themselves, that's the most important thing, I'm very open with this," Marcell Siahaan was quoted as saying by VOI from YouTube Daniel Mananta Network, Monday, April 15.

Marcell admitted that he was only trying to set an example and motivation for his children in carrying out Islam.

"And I decided to do that because I was just giving an example, I motivated me through what I did because talking about just ordering was not enough," he continued.

Furthermore, even though he is the father of his three children, Marcell feels that he has no right to force his children to participate in the beliefs he currently believes in.

Marcell wants his children to feel that there is something called natural selection that they have to face when choosing confidence as an adult.

"And moreover, I departed from that, I was an anomaly, right, I felt that it was not in the right place if I then forced them to be like this, forcing them to be like that," he added.

"But they have to know that there is a divide wisdom, that they must know very well. Yes, what is called natural selection, natural law exists," he concluded.
