Bradley Beal Leads Suns To Destroy Timberwolves 125-106, Secures Ranking Six In Western Region
JAKARTA - Bradley Beal scored 36 points with a shot of 14 from 21, including 6 out of 6 three points, as the Phoenix Suns easily beat the Minnesota Timberwolves with a score of 125-106 on Monday, April 15 in the morning in Minneapolis.
Devin Booker added 23 points and seven assists for Phoenix (49-33), who jumped New Orleans to sixth place in the Western Region. The Suns had to beat Timberwolves and Pelians to lose to the Los Angeles Lakers so Phoenix could secure the top six in the Western Region and qualify for the play-in tournament.
Rudy Gobert scored 21 points and took seven rebounds to lead Minnesota (56-26). Timberwolves entered this match in a three-way draw for the best record in the Western region, but they fell to third after losing on Monday, while Oklahoma City Thunder and Denver Nuggets both won to secure the top two rankings.
The last increase in the Suns on the last day and the decline in Timberwolves in the standings means the two teams will meet each other in the first half of the playoffs.
Phoenix shot 54.7 percent (47 out of 86) from the pitch and 55.2 percent (16 out of 29) from a distance of 3 points. Minnesota shot 51.4 percent (36 out of 70) overall and 34.6 percent (9 out of 26) remotely.
