Four Technicians Died After Checking The Septical Tank Of A Mall In Cirebon
JAKARTA - The Cirebon City Fire and Rescue Service (DPKP), West Java, said four technicians were found dead after treating the septic tank room in one of the shopping centers in the area.
The total number of victims who died was four people. The victims previously carried out septictank treatment," said Cirebon City DPKP Head Adam Nurdin when confirmed in Cirebon, Tuesday.
He said the incident occurred on Tuesday afternoon, when two officers were conducting routine checks of the septic tank room whose condition was full or overflowing.
He explained that after entering the room the technicians did not give a response, which made their co-workers worried.
A total of two other technicians who were outside, he said, then decided to check the condition of their friends by entering the septic tank.
"Some time later, the two officers who entered the septic tank did not respond, then re-entered two of their co-workers into the septic tank," he said, quoted by Antara.
Adam said the technicians found one of their colleagues dead, who was later evacuated from inside the septic tank.
The two colleagues who followed in managed to evacuate one of their colleagues in a dead condition. They then intend to evacuate a colleague who is still left inside, "he said.

Not long after, he said, the two workers were finally trapped in a septic tank until their condition died.
He said reports related to the incident were then received by the Cirebon City DPKP Office and then a number of officers were deployed to evacuate three victims who were still trapped.
"Our members who saved the victim were taken out with security for Rescue Self Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA), because the place is quite narrow," he said.
His party ensures that currently, the four victims have been taken to the nearest hospital for further treatment.
Local police officers were also enlivened to explore the exact cause of the deaths of the four technicians.
