Head of the Traffic Corps (Kakorlantas) of the National Police Inspector General Pol Aan Suhanan said there was a decrease in the number of vehicles from Jabodetabek to Trans Java starting in the morning at 06.00 to 08.00 WIB.
"After we evaluated with the data from several existing traffic counting, the traffic flow from Jabodetabek was successively starting to show a significant decline," said Aan, quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, April 9.
Aan explained that traffic counting is an indicator for his party to carry out traffic engineering policies on toll roads. Today, the traffic counting indicator shows a decrease to one percent, so that the flow is categorized. normal.
The decrease in the number of vehicles passing on the toll road to the east (Java Island) was observed at crucial points such as KM 66, KM 07 and KM 03.
"Earlier, we did the cleaning so that at 12.00 WIB we will re-implement two directions from KM 414 Kalikangkang to KM 70 Japek, at 12.00 WIB it is hoped that it will return to normal," said Aan.
Korlantas Polri noted that the flow of homecoming in 2024 occurred not in one day, but starting from April 5, 6, 7 and 8. This condition makes traffic engineering one way which is scheduled in the Joint Decree (SKB) until April 7, extended until April 8.
