Prone To Brawl, Mobile Takbiran In Tangerang Is Prohibited By Police

TANGERANG - Tangerang City Metro Police, Banten, issued a firm appeal to the public regarding the prohibition of traveling takbir and convoy activities at night because they are prone to brawls.

Tangerang Metro Police Chief Kombes Zain Dwi Nugroho emphasized the ban on traveling takbir activities and the convoy to avoid some unwanted incidents, including traffic congestion, accidents, and potential brawls between community groups in this area.

"There should be no takbiran around, either around the city or around the highway by vehicles like open or motorbike convoys. We have appealed for takbiran activities to be maximized in their respective mosques and prayer rooms," said Kombes Zain as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, April 8.

In addition, the Tangerang City Metro Police also invites the participation of all levels of society to jointly realize security, order, and comfort during Eid 2024.

"Let's protect the environment from security disturbances and immediately report any crime," he said.

The Tangerang City Metro Police together with the TNI, Satpol PP, Dishub, other OPD elements within the Tangerang City Government along with the Tangerang City Pokdarkamtibmas are increasing security ahead of Eid in this area.

He mentioned that one of them optimized five security posts (pospam) and three service posts (Posyan) along the homecoming route in Tangerang City.

"We also urge all people to work together to prioritize conduciveness and safety in welcoming the day of victory," added Tangerang City Satpol PP Head Wawan Fauzi.
