Slaughtered By Feyenoord 6 Goals Without Reply At The "Klassieker" Derby, Ajax: Embarrassing, Will Last Long

JAKARTA - The "Klassieker" derby in the 29th week of the Dutch League is running unusually. The derby, which should be tight on goal difference, becomes like a trial event.

The striking score of six goals without reply does not seem to be suitable for the "Klassieker" derby. Feyenoord crushed Ajax Amsterdam half a dozen goals without reply, 6-0, at De Kuip Stadium, Rotterdam, Sunday night WIB.

Ajax Amsterdam manager John van't Schip said this defeat was the most embarrassing in history and would always be an unforgettable defeat.

"Ajax is in a phase where things are going badly, this game is like a boy against a boy, or even a school boy. It's really embarrassing... It's a day you want to remove from your mind quickly, but it will haunt us for a long time," Ajax Manager John van 't Schip quoted AFP as saying. from Antara, Monday 8 April.

Six goals from Feyenoord hosts were scored by Igor Paixao (34th and 66th minutes), Yankuba Minteh (35th and 56th minutes), David Hancko (45th minute) and Quinten Timber (62nd minute).

In addition to scoring half a dozen goals, Feyenoord also fired thirty shots with fifteen of them aimed directly at Geronimo Rulli's goal.

"We can always lose, but don't accept defeat like this," said Ajax Amsterdam captain Steven Bergwijn.

This season, Ajax has always been humiliated by Feyennoord in the "Klassieker" derby. In addition to losing by a margin of six goals, at the first meeting of the two teams which took place in September last year, Ajax was humiliated in front of his own supporters after losing with a score of four goals without reply.

"During this season, we have beaten them 10-0. That's quite special," said Quinten Timber.

This result keeps Feyenoord in order to lock up one ticket to the European Champions League zone. Currently Feyennoord is in second place with a collection of 69 points from 29 matches or nine points behind PSV Eindhoven who leads the top of the standings.

Meanwhile, Ajax, who is trying to compete to enter the European zone, is now ranked sixth with 45 points from 29 matches.
