Regarding The Broken Katulampa Dam, Large Improvements Are Worked On By BBWSCC After Eid 2024
Bogor Mayor (Walkot) Bima Arya Sugiarto said permanent repairs to the draining gate of Katulampa Dam which will break after Eid 2024.
Bima said that for temporary repairs by making water drains towards irrigation, and efforts to close the draining doors with bamboo had been carried out.
However, the major improvements that will be worked on by the Cisadane Ciliwung River Basin Center (BBWSCC) will remain after Eid al-Fitr 1445 Hijri.
"Once again this is only temporary, after Lebaran friends from BBWSCC will permanently handle the draining of water. We move quickly so that the residents of the water supply are not disturbed ahead of this Eid," he said after the temporary improvement site of Katulampa Dam, April 7, was confiscated by Antara.
Bima hopes that the temporary repair will last until it enters the permanent repair stage. Mainly so that the raw water supply to Irigasi Kalibaru does not decrease.
"After Lebaran (permanent improvement), hopefully this (temporary improvement) can last. We'll see," he said.
Head of the Technical Implementation Unit of the Water Resources Management Agency (UPTD PSDA) of the Ciliwung-CisaANNE River Region, Hendra Wardana, explained that the permanent handling was carried out after Lebaran because the condition of the material store was closed.
"The condition is because it is Eid, material shops are closed, looking for wood is difficult. There are also many personnel and civil servants who have gone home for Lebaran," he said.

Nevertheless, he ensured that based on the information he received from BBWSCC, permanent repairs would be made immediately after Lebaran with more capable tools.
"After Lebaran, God willing, acceleration. From BBWSCC, from the center will also help for draining and permanent handling," said Hendra.
In addition to repairing the damaged door, he said, it is estimated that other draining doors will also be repaired. Given that the last floodgates got treatment in 2002.
"We will not (improve) just one broken door, God willing, it will all be (also repaired). It's been a long time since the 2000s," he said.
One of the draining doors of Katulampa Dam, Bogor City, West Java (West Java), broke on Friday, April 5, resulting in reduced water discharge into the Kalibaru Irrigation Channel.
