BANJARBARU - A total of 66 people with visual and physical disabilities receive special services in the free homecoming program provided by the Governor of South Kalimantan Sahbirin Noor or Uncle Birin and his wife Raudhatul Jannah or Acid Odah on April 6-7, 2024.

Sahbirin facilitates free homecoming for members of the Social Rehabilitation Center for People with Blind and Physical Disabilities Fajar Harapan (RSPDNF) on Jalan Ahmad Yani Km 37 Banjar Regency to Hulu Sungai and Laut Island Kotabaru.

"According to the direction of the Governor of South Kalimantan who asked for excellent service for passengers, we assigned several assistants to serve persons with disabilities on the way to meet their families in their hometowns," said Head of the RSPDNF Panti Fajar Harapan Jumri in Banjarbaru, Saturday.

Jumri expressed his gratitude from the participants of homecoming for people with disabilities to the Governor of South Kalimantan for providing Eid homecoming transportation through special services for disabilities.

Previously, Sahbirin Noor released free homecoming participants at Kilometer Six Terminal, Banjarmasin City.

It was recorded that 1,000 people participated in free homecoming from Banjarmasin and Banjarbaru, heading to their hometowns throughout South Kalimantan.

The South Kalimantan Provincial Government has deployed 55 mini bus units belonging to the Regional Apparatus Work Unit (SKPD) to deliver thousands of these free travelers.

Sahbirin advised drivers and passengers to always maintain order, and obey the rules while on the way to make it safe to get to your destination.

"We are sure they are all happy because they will meet their families and later they will arrive at the destination city and will be taken by taxi to their respective homes, so there is an advantage from last year," said Sahbirin.
