Heru Budi Reminds Residents Of The Capital City To Check Electricity And Home Security During Eid Homecoming
JAKARTA - Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta Heru Budi Hartono reminded the public to ensure the safety of houses during Eid al-Fitr 1445 Hijri homecoming."The house must be safe, meaning that electricity must be ensured to be safe," said Heru when releasing travelers who took part in the 2024 BUMN Fun Homecoming Program at Silang Monas, Central Jakarta, Antara, Friday, April 5.He also suggested that the house be entrusted to the village head and his staff. "There are the nearest Satpol PP and Polsek in order to protect the environment left by residents during their homecoming," he said.Heru said goodbye to the travelers and reminded them to maintain health during the trip."Of course going home requires patience if you experience traffic jams. Once again, the DKI Provincial Government welcomes you back to your hometown. Hopefully you will be safe to your respective hometowns," said Heru.In the event to release travelers today, Heru appreciated the Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) Erick Thohir and his staff who had held this activity to help Jakarta residents go home safer.Also with Heru, Minister of Transportation Budi Karya Sumadi and Minister of SOEs Erick Thohir. Erick Thohir released 6,432 travelers participating in the 2024 BUMN Fun Homecoming Program at the release ceremony at the National Monument (Monas), Jakarta, Friday.Erick said this program is part of BUMN's efforts to help the community, especially the underprivileged who want to go home for Eid safely and comfortably.
This program is also the government's effort to reduce the number of travelers using two-wheeled motorized vehicles. According to Erick, the data shows that the highest accident occurred in travelers using motorbikes, which was around 77 percent of the total accidents.
