Reviewing The Condition Of Electricity Supply Ahead Of Eid Al-Fitr, The Minister Of Energy And Mineral Resources Ensures That Electricity Supply Is Safe
JAKARTA - Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Arifin Tasrif ensured that the condition of electricity supply was monitored safely ahead of Eid al-Fitr 1445 H.
He conveyed this after reviewing the Steam Gas Plant (PLTGU) of PT PLN Nusantara Power (NP) in Gresik, East Java, on Thursday, April 4.
"God willing, the electricity supply will be safe, and the supply of primary energy needs will be sufficient with the HOP (Operation Day) above 20 days," said Arifin, quoted on Friday, April 5.
Arifin said that PLN had taken preventive and effective measures against electrical equipment and systems that were not only carried out at the moment of Eid al-Fitr and Christmas and New Year, but also carried out regularly.
"This action is not only anticipating Nataru and Eid al-Fitr, but has become a routine part of it so that its services can be maximized and there is no electricity disturbance to the community," he added.

Based on a report from the Energy Sector Command Post team of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, which is centered at the BPH Migas Office, it is projected that the Peak Load (BP) on Eid Al-Fitr 1445 H will occur on April 10, 2024, amounting to 32,750 MW with Supply Capability Power (DMP) of 51,350 MW, and a total reserve of 18600 MW (56.79 percent).
Meanwhile, PLN has also prepared a standby post to secure electricity supply during the Eid al-Fitr 1445 H period as many as 2,766 posts throughout Indonesia, with the support of 81,591 personnel (consisting of 15,594 Generation Personnel, 19,450 Transmission Personnel, 46,375 Distribution & TAD Personnel, and 172 Head Office personnel).
