Police Arrest 169 Teenagers In Motorcycle Convoys In 3 Locations Prone To Brawl

Central Jakarta Metro Police again arrested 169 teenage convoys crossing three different areas on Jalan Gunung Sahari, Sawah Besar District, Roxy Flyover Street in Gambir District and MH Thamrin Street in Gambir.

"A total of 169 teenagers consisted of 136 teenage boys and 33 teenage girls. They were caught carrying 16 flags, 1 banner and 34 firecrackers," said Central Jakarta Metro Police Chief, Kombes Susatyo Purnomo Condro when confirmed, Friday, April 5.

The police also ticketed 54 motorbikes used by teenagers in sports convoys. The motorbike was ticketed because it was not equipped with a STNK, SIM and Helmet.

Kombes Susatyo appealed to the role of parents and teachers in schools to be more active in fostering, educating and directing children to do better in the month of Ramadan.

"We have to monitor children so that they don't get the wrong interaction outside that can plunge their future. Let's prepare our children's future to the right path," he added.

The Central Jakarta Metro Police said that they would not hesitate to process the law if a student was caught violating the law, carrying a knife, destroying / beatings, using / carrying drugs or violating traffic, not carrying a vehicle registration, or not using a helmet.

"We don't want our children to have to die in vain on the streets in the event of a brawl attacking each other using firecrackers, using bamboo or machetes that can kill or injure other people," he said.
