Jumping From Car, Batam Prosecutor Escapes When Taken To Detention Center
Batam District Attorney's Detention Center (Kejari), Riau Islands fled from the vehicle when they were about to be taken to the Batam Detention Center (Rutan).
Head of Public Relations of the Barelang Police, AKP Tigor Sidabaribiba, said the incident occurred on Wednesday (3/4) at 15.30 WIB.
"It is true that one detainee escaped when he was taken from the Batam District Attorney to the Batam Detention Center," said Tigor as quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, April 4.
The suspect with the initials DS after entering stage II, namely the case file to the Batam Kejari after the Batam City Police handed it over.
"The incident occurred after phase II to the Batam Kejari, so it was not a Batam City Police detainee anymore, it was a prosecutor's detainee," he said.
After undergoing stage II, the Batam Prosecutor's Office asked two Batam City Police personnel to accompany the DS suspect's delivery to the Batam Detention Center.

The prisoner escaped by jumping from the prisoner's car, which at that time was stopped by the red light.
"But while on the way to the Batam Detention Center, suspect DS jumped out of a prisoner's car at the Panbil red light intersection, and was not caught. Until now he has not been found," said Tigor.
