D-6 Lebaran, Merak Port Passes 52,121 Passengers To Bakauheni
MERAK - Merak Port, Cilegon City, Banten on D-6 or Thursday (4/4) crosses 52,121 passengers to Bakauheni, Lampung by operating 44 ships.
"All passengers can be dispatched to Bakauheni Port, Lampung runs smoothly and safely to their destination," said General Manager (GM) of PT ASDP Main Branch of Merak Port Suharto in Merak, reported by ANTARA, Thursday, April 4.
He said the number of travelers crossing to Bakauheni Port, Lampung through Merak Port from D-7 (3/4) to Thursday (4/4) reached 52,121 passengers.
The number of passengers of 52,121 people decreased by 31 percent compared to the realization of the same period last year of 75,221 people.
Meanwhile, motorcycle travelers recorded 1,918 units, down 53 percent compared to last year's realization of 4,079 units.
Four-wheeled vehicles reached 6,794 units, down 27 percent compared to the realization of the same period last year of 9,305 units.

Meanwhile, logistics trucks that had crossed from Java to Sumatra reached 3,316 units, down 3 percent compared to the realization of the same period last year of 3,429 units.
Merak - Bakaheuni crossing is relatively normal and safe with a wave height of 1.25 meters (low) based on BMKG data.
Meanwhile, traffic flow in the Merak Port area on Thursday (4/4) was congested, but the flow of vehicles seemed smooth and there was no long traffic jam.
"Homecomers who want to cross to Bakauheni Port are asked the day before departure to buy tickets online for smooth running," he said.
