Central Porsche Develops Three-line Electric SUV, Positioned Above Cayenne
JAKARTA - Porsche, a well-known automotive brand from Germany, is reportedly working on an SUV aboard Cayenne. This was proven when the car was caught on camera being tested for the first time.
Launching CarBuzz, Thursday, April 4, this car with the code K1 looks larger than Cayenne and will fill the premium electric vehicle (EV) segment.
At first glance, the car had the same design language as the Tigers, Panamera, and Cayenne on the front with a distinctive front light unit.
Because it has a larger design, it is likely that K1 will carry a seven-seater configuration making it the longest-dimensional Porsche model ever created.
The interesting thing lies in the back that looks much different from other Porsche SUVs. The back light looks separated with the bumper design stiffer and compacter. Unfortunately, the original design is still covered with camouflage.

Meanwhile, the side profile has a dashing design like other conventional SUVs. It is hoped that the production version will have a more precise and firm design.
Porsche K1 will be equipped with the latest 920V architecture, meaning charging speed will be much faster than Taycan. The platform offers a new layout of battery cells to chassis.
Thus, this allows K1 to have a battery with a capacity of 100 kWh and is predicted to cover a distance of up to 700 miles (about 1,126 km) according to WLTP calculations.
Although it will fill the premium segment above Cayenne, Porsche promises that the production version of K1 has sporty characteristics that have become the trademark. Unfortunately, information about this SUV is still limited and is expected to debut in around 2027.
