PSSI Asks PT LIB To Plan League 1 Schedule According To The Agenda Of The Indonesian National Team Until 2027

JAKARTA - PSSI General Chairperson (Ketum) Erick Thohir has held a meeting with PT Liga Indonesia Baru (LIB). The agenda was deliberately made to discuss the competition schedule in line with the agenda of the Indonesian national team.

From that meeting, Erick Thohir asked PT LIB as the competition operator to schedule and adjust it to the agenda of the Indonesian national team match until 2027.

Erick Thohir shared the moment of meeting with PT LIB in his social media uploads on Wednesday, April 3, 2024. Erick hopes from the meeting that the agenda of the Indonesian national team, including in the AFF Cup and SEA Games, will not clash with the League 1 schedule.

"I chaired the Exco meeting with the President Director of PT LIB, Ferry Paulus. We discussed and asked PT Liga to prepare a competition schedule until 2027," wrote Erick Thohir in his uploaded statement quoted on Thursday, April 4, 2024.

"We ask PT LIB to adjust the agendas of the Indonesian national team that will participate in the Asian Cup, SEA Games, World Cup Qualification, AFF Cup, and friendly matches," wrote Erick.

The meeting is expected to be a middle ground for the adjustment of the agenda of the Indonesian national team and the league. This was carried out so that both of them could run in harmony for the advancement of football in the country.
