6 Years In Prison Sentence Will Be Used By KPK Investigate Alleged Money Laundering Hasbi Hasan
The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) said the six-year prison sentence handed down by the Panel of Judges at the Central Jakarta District Court (PN) against the inactive Secretary of the Supreme Court (MA) Hasbi Hasan would be additional information to investigate allegations of money laundering (TPPU).
Head of the KPK News Section Ali Fikri said the analysis would be carried out on the verdict that had been handed down by the judge. All the judges' considerations will be additional information on the development of the Hasbi case.
"Through the contents of the consideration of the panel of judges' decision, the KPK will immediately analyze it to be used as additional information and data in uncovering allegations of money laundering offenses whose investigation is currently ongoing," Ali said in a written statement quoted on Thursday, April 4.
Meanwhile, regarding the follow-up to this decision, the anti-corruption commission has not taken a stand. Prosecutors still have time to think about further strategies, said Ali.
"On the decision of this case, the prosecutor's team expressed their thoughts for the next seven days while waiting for the submission of a complete copy of the decision in question. Developments will be conveyed," he said.
As previously reported, Hasbi was sentenced to six years in prison in connection with bribery in the handling of the Intidana Savings and Loans Cooperative (KSP). He was legally and convincingly proven guilty of committing a criminal act of corruption together and continuously.
"The defendant Hasbi Hasan was sentenced to 6 years in prison," said Jakarta Corruption Court (Tipikor) Chief Judge Toni Irfan as reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, April 3.
