Thursday Morning, 40 RTs In Jakarta Flooded And 5 Roads Inundated

JAKARTA - The area of Jakarta and its surroundings has been raining since Wednesday, April 3 afternoon until the evening. The DKI Jakarta Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) noted that this morning, as of 04.00 WIB, 40 RTs were recorded in South Jakarta, East Jakarta, and West Jakarta were flooded.

"The current flood is 40 RT and five roads are in the DKI Jakarta area," said Head of BPBD DKI Jakarta Isnawa Adji, Thursday, March 4. The 40 RTs consist of three RTs in the West Jakarta area, namely one RT in Kedoya Selatan with a water level of 60 centimeters (cm) and two RTs in South Kembangan with a water level of 50 cm. Floods in the two areas were caused by overflowing Pesanggrahan River.

Furthermore, there are seven RTs in South Jakarta, namely one RT in Pela Mampang with a water level of 30 cm due to overflowing Mampang River; one RT in Kebagusan with a water level of 35 cm due to overflowing Pesanggrahan River; and four RTs in East Pejaten with water levels of 80 cm due to high rainfall and overflow of Ciliwung River. "One RT in Ragunan with a water level of 55 cm which causes high rainfall," added Isnawa. Furthermore, there is a remaining 30 RTs in the East Jakarta area, namely one RT in Lubang Buaya with a water level of 90 cm caused by high rainfall and overflow of Molek River; three RTs in Kampung Melayu with a water level of 175 cm caused by high rainfall and overflow of Ciliwung River, as well as five RTs in Cawang with water levels 140 to 170 cm due to high rainfall and overflow of Ciliwung River. It was recorded that there were 10 RTs in Cipinang Melayu flood with water levels of 40 cm caused by high rainfall and 10 RTs in Makassar with water levels 80 to 120 cm due to high rainfall. "One RT with a water level of 50 cm which causes high rainfall and overflow of Cijantung River," said Isnawa.

In addition, there are five roads flooded, namely Jalan Kemang Utara IX, Bangka, South Jakarta with a height of 50 cm and Jalan Raya Hankam Headquarters (Titik Ketik Hanura), Bambu Apus, East Jakarta with a height of 50 cm.

Floods also inundated Jalan Raya Bogor KM 19 (HEK), Kramat Jati, East Jakarta with a height of 15 cm, Jalan Diklat Depsos, Rambutan, East Jakarta with a height of 50 cm, and Jalan Pagelarang, Setu, East Jakarta with a height of 60 cm. From these flood points, there were two locations that were displaced. As many as six families (KK) or 24 residents of Kebagusan fled to RPTRA Bagus and two heads of families (KK) or 10 residents of Kampung Melayu fled in the hall of the Ittihadul Ikhwan Mosque. "East Cilandak residents who fled have returned to their respective homes," said Isnawa.
