Di Hadapan Komisi VI, Bos PT Timah Tegaskan Tak Terlibat Kasus Korupsi
JAKARTA - President Director of PT Timah Tbk (TINS) Ahmad Dani Virsal emphasized that he was not involved in a corruption case related to PT Timah Tbk's Mining Business License (IUP) for 2015-2022.
As is known, the PT Timah corruption case is currently being handled by the Attorney General's Office by naming 16 suspects.
"I myself am very open and ensure that I am not involved in the events that have occurred so far from 2015-2022 which is being appointed by the AGO," Virsal said in a statement at the Hearing Meeting with Commission VI quoted Wednesday, April 3.
Virsal emphasized that his party is currently reforming the management in PT Timah and has been going on since January 2024.
The improvements made include restructuring the main duties of the profession (tupoksi) and existing authorities.
"So we cut many things to improve the acceleration of delegation communications and the decision to accelerate our community services, cooperation relations with community miners," he said.
In addition, he continued, the new management also made improvements in the company's internal system in order to accelerate decisions and provide certainty.
"So that what is used as a product can be measured and well traced where it came from and where we will sell the products," he continued.

Previously, Virsal said that this case did not interfere with the operations of PT Timah as a whole, but psychologically disturbed the company.
"Yes, psychologically, maybe disturbed, but practically we feel safer," Ahmad told the media crew quoted on Wednesday, March 27.
Regarding the safer statement, Ahmad explained that currently his company already has a new legal corridor that applies so that it can prevent similar behavior from happening again.
"There are already corridor rules, so don't repeat the same mistakes," added Ahmad.
