Motif Perpetrator Of Robbery And Murder In Malang, Needs Marriage Fee Money
Malang Police revealed the motive for the robbery and murder case that occurred on Jalan Wendit Timur Number 22 RT3/5, Krajan Hamlet, Mangliawan Village, Malang Regency, East Java.
Malang Deputy Chief of Police, Kompol Imam Mustolih, said the two suspects with the initials MWHA (29) and MIFA (28) had a motive for requiring money for wedding expenses and paying debts.
"The suspect's motive for committing violent theft is because the suspect needs money for the cost of marriage and paying debts," said Imam as quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, April 3.
The alleged robbery and murder incident occurred in Pakis District on Friday (22/3) at around 19:15 WIB. One of the victim's neighbors, at 19.30 WIB heard screams from the victim.
In the alleged robbery that led to the murder, the victim died named Sri Agus Iswanto (60) due to a sharp object stab wound. Another victim named Esther Sri Purwaningsih (69) suffered a wound on her face.
Imam explained that during the investigation of the case, the Malang Police Satreskrim formed a special team to conduct a crime scene (TKP), asked for witness statements and collected a number of evidences.
According to him, based on the results of the temporary conclusion, the incident that occurred on Friday (22/3) was a criminal act of theft with violence. The team succeeded in identifying the perpetrators and then arrested two suspects.
"On Saturday (30/3), a special team attempted to force the arrest of the perpetrators, as well as confiscate evidence related to the crime," he said.

Based on the suspect's statement, he continued, they committed the violent theft when the situation around the scene was quiet. The two suspects entered the terrace of the victim's house and then entered the house through the unlocked side door.
"At that time, one of the suspects was identified by the victim Sri Agus. Then the suspect hit the victim and took a kitchen knife that had been prepared, the victim fought back," he said.
Meanwhile, another suspect, MWHA, entered the dining room and immediately hit another victim, Esther Purwaningsih. After paralyzing the victim, the suspect took the victim's wallet and a cell phone.
The two perpetrators were charged with multiple articles, Article 365 paragraph (1), paragraph (2) numbers 1, 2 and 3, paragraph (3) and paragraph (4) of the Criminal Code with the threat of death penalty or life imprisonment or for a certain period of up to 20 years and Article 351 paragraph (1), paragraph (3) of the Criminal Code with a maximum imprisonment of 7 years.
