Environmental Friendly Vehicle Service Ride Sharing E-Bike Now Present In Paramount Gading Serpong And Summarecon Serpong Areas

JAKARTA - Air pollution is one of the most pressing environmental problems in the world today. Indonesia also cares and is committed to playing a role in tackling climate change and maintaining natural sustainability. One of the efforts taken by Indonesia is by targeting reducing emissions and Net Zero Emissions that can be achieved by 2060.

Paramount Gading Serpong and Summarecon Serpong are working with Asia Pacific's largest micro-mobility company, Beam Mobility, providing environmentally friendly vehicle services Ride Sharing E-Bike. This collaboration began in April 2024, namely by providing 700 units of electric bicycle ride sharing fleets spread across 134 parking spots in residential and commercial areas in the Paramount Gading Serpong and Summarecon Serpong areas.

This collaboration is a sustainable lifestyle innovation campaign from Beam Mobility by expanding electric bicycle ride-sharing services in Tangerang Regency, Banten. Ricky Sjofyan, Country Lead Beam Mobility Indonesia explained, from the start, Beam Mobility was committed to assisting the government in suppressing CO2 emissions.

"Although our efforts are still a small step, we believe it will have a big impact if all parties participate in making our environment better. According to the records of the Beam Mobility system, throughout 2023 there were 238-ton CO2 which was successfully reduced when compared to the CO2 emissions produced by motorcycle units. We obtained this data through the calculation of one of the functions of our system in real time in 7 areas," he explained.

"The cooperation we carried out with 2 large residential areas in the Gading Serpong area, Tangerang Regency confirmed our vision and mission to provide ride-sharing services to help the air in this area or location become cleaner and less pollution. We will continue to target more residential areas, others," added Ricky.

The entire Beam Mobility fleet is equipped with advanced IoT technology called Geofence. This technology allows Beam Mobility to monitor vehicle conditions in real-time, provides restrictions for areas or areas that can be passed by any e-bike Beam rider, and can automatically detect if there are problems with Beam vehicles. Geofence technology is also used to detect when fleets need battery replacement.

The Beam Mobility Fleet has a maximum speed of 25 km/hour. The Mobility Beam ensures its fleet is accessible to its users, each fleet is equipped with use instructions and safety instructions on driving. In addition, as an effort to introduce the Beam Mobility fleet to the community more deeply, there is a free fleet training program called the Beam Safe Academy.
