Karawang Regency Government Repairs Roads And Installs Lighting Lights Ahead Of Lebaran Homecoming

The Karawang Regency Government, West Java, is still repairing roads and installing public street lighting (PJU) along the Eid homecoming route.

"We are still making preparations for the Eid homecoming season. Among other things, by improving road infrastructure and installing PJU lights," said Karawang Regent Aep Syaepuloh, quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, April 2.

He said, among the improvements in road infrastructure that had been and were being carried out were on the Telagasari - Lemah Abang - Wadas - Cilamaya - Krasak road.

The path that has been and is being repaired is an alternative lane or special lane for motorcycles during the Eid homecoming season.

"Alhamdulillah, starting from Telagasari, Lemah Abang, Wadas Cilamaya, Krasak, Jatisari, which is the homecoming route is in the process of being worked on or repaired," he said.

The road repairs were carried out by the Public Works and Spatial Planning Office of Karawang.

In addition to repairing roads, his party also coordinates with related stakeholders, one of which is the Karawang Police for the provision of appeals at density-prone points that are crossed by travelers.

"Of course, in addition to infrastructure repair work, we coordinate with the Resort Police, where there are points of vulnerability, we will continue to install appeals," he said.

Preparations ahead of the homecoming season carried out by the Karawang Regency Government are by installing and repairing public street lighting.

"Ahead of the homecoming, the Karawang Transportation Service installed public street lighting at every location that was considered dark," he said.
