The US And UK Agree To Cooperate In AI Security Testing
JAKARTA - In the midst of the rapid development of AI technology, the United States and Britain have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to work together in developing the most advanced AI model testing.
Signed by the US Secretary of Commerce, Gina Raimondo, and British Technology Minister Michelle Donelan, this agreement is a follow-up to a commitment made to the AI Safety Summit last November.
Through this collaboration, the US and UK AI Security Institutes will cooperate and partner in research, safety evaluation, and guidance for AI safety.
The two countries also intend to take advantage of a collection of collective expertise by exploring inter-institutional personnel exchanges.
"AI is a technology that determines our generation. This partnership will accelerate the work of our two Institutions in overcoming the entire risk spectrum, both for national security and the wider community," said US Trade Minister Gina Raimondo in an official broadcast.
