Yogyakarta BPN Employees Return Rp169 Million Student Dormitory Corruption Money To The South Sumatra Prosecutor's Office

PALEMBANG - The South Sumatra High Prosecutor's Office (Kejati) received the refund of the student dormitory corruption case from one of the suspects who was a member of the Yogyakarta national land agency (BPN).

"Yes, we have received the handover of money in the corruption case of the Yogyakarta student dormitory amounting to Rp169,427,787 or Rp169.4 million since yesterday until today," said Head of the Legal Information Section of the South Sumatra Prosecutor's Office Vanni Yulia Eka as reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, April 2.

The refund was handed over directly by the attorney for the suspect and his family to the investigation team in the field of special crimes at the South Sumatra Prosecutor's Office.

BPN employee with the initials NW was named a suspect in the case of selling student dorm assets in Yogyakarta based on the Suspect Determination Letter Number: TAP - 04/L.6.5/Fd.1/03/2024 dated March 20, 2024.

The suspect NW in the case of selling student dorm assets played a role because he participated in buying and selling transactions regarding the management and issuance of certificates for transfer of rights to objects.

"The role of suspect NW is that there is participation in buying and selling transactions regarding the processing and issuance of certificates for transfer of rights to objects," he said.
