PUPR Minister Basuki Hadimuljono Hopes Sri Mulyani Agrees To IDR 15 Trillion Budget To Repair Damaged Roads
JAKARTA - Minister of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) Basuki Hadimuljono hopes that the Ministry of Finance (Kemenkeu) will immediately approve the proposed budget of IDR 15 trillion for Presidential Instruction (Inpres) Number 3 of 2023 concerning the Acceleration of Increasing Regional Road Connectivity.
Basuki initially said that Presidential Instruction Number 3 of 2023 had successfully handled 2,873 kilometers (km) of 2.7 km long roads and bridges at a cost of Rp. 14.6 trillion.
Repairing the road is considered useful to open access from isolation and encourage economic growth. Therefore, Basuki said that his party encouraged the Presidential Instruction Number 3 of 2023 to be continued in 2024.
"We will continue this regional road Instruction this year, now it is in the middle of a review with the Ministry of Finance to compile a Budget Implementation List (DIPA). We hope that in total the 2024 budget we can allocate IDR 15 trillion," Basuki said in a Working Meeting with Commission V DPR RI at the Senayan Parliament Building, Jakarta, quoted Tuesday, April 2.
He hopes that the total budget of IDR 15 trillion proposed for this year can be fulfilled. Because, there are 2,225 km of roads and bridges that will be repaired.
"From the additional 2024 budget, the target for handling and bridges is 2,225 km. Now the budget is being processed at the Ministry of Finance," he added.
Meanwhile, throughout 2023, the Ministry of PUPR has completed 13 National Strategic Projects (PSN) to strengthen national infrastructure.
A total of 13 PSN completed include, six (6) dam projects, four (4) toll road projects, one (1) Drinking Water Supply System (SPAM) projects, one (1) flat projects (rusun) and one (1) units of Self-Help Housing Stimulant Assistance (BSPS) projects.

The six dam projects that have been completed include the Lolak Dam (North Sulawesi), the Tiu Suku Dam (West Nusa Tenggara), the Karian Dam (Banten), the Cipanas Dam (West Java), the Sepaku Semoi Dam (East Kalimantan) and the Ameroro Dam (North Sulawesi).
Then, the toll road projects that have been completed in 2023 are the Cibitung-Cilincing Toll Road, the Cileunyi-Sumedang-Dawuan (Cisumdawu) Toll Road, the Serpong-Cinere Toll Road, and the Cinere-Jagorawi Toll Road.
Furthermore, there are SPAM, flats and BSPS projects that have been completed, namely West Semarang SPAM, Halim Perdana Kusuma Air Base Flat and BSPS to support ASEAN Summit in Tana Mori and Labuan Bajo.
