Prabowo: Indonesia's New Government Will Encourage RI-China Cooperation

President-elect Prabowo Subianto said that the new Indonesian government is willing to encourage Indonesia-China cooperation in the fields of trade and poverty alleviation and actively encourage the synergy of state development strategies.

According to a written statement from the Chinese Embassy in Jakarta, Indonesia's elected president Prabowo Subianto conveyed this when meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping at the People's Great Hall in Beijing.

Reported by ANTARA, Monday, April 1, Prabowo said the new Indonesian government would also respect the One China Policy, encourage relations between the two developing countries to be more comprehensive and of high quality, and carry out important understandings of community formation in the same fate as the two countries.

He also said that the new Indonesian government was willing to continue President Joko Widodo's friendly policy towards China and uphold the independence and independence of the two countries.

Prabowo said that the new Indonesian government is willing to increase coordination and cooperation with China in international and regional affairs and make a greater contribution to South-South cooperation.

Prabowo also appreciated the results achieved by the Chinese people led by President Xi Jinping and was willing to learn the experiences of the Chinese Communist Party and deepened the exchange of state management experiences.

Previously, Friday (29/3), the Chinese Government announced that the elected Indonesian president Prabowo Subianto would make a visit to China on March 31, April 2.

Spokesperson for China's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Lin Jian, in a press release on the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs website said that the visit was made at the invitation of Chinese President Xi Jinping.
