Prosecutors Indict 3 Defendants Of Budget Corruption DIPA Ambon State Police To Enrich Themselves

The inaugural trial of the alleged corruption case of the budget for the Budget Implementation List (DIPA) for goods and services expenditure at the Ambon State Polytechnic (Poltek) in 2022 with three defendants being held at the Ambon Corruption Court.

In this trial, the public prosecutor (JPU) of the Ambon Kejari stated that the procurement of Ambon State Polytechnic goods/services in 2022 was not in accordance with the calculated value, resulting in a difference in payments and the remaining funds that could not be accounted for.

The three defendants, in this case, signed a Payment Order, Fentje Salhuteru; Wilma Enggliani Ferdinandus alias Ema; and Christina Siwalette.

The prosecutor said the defendants also carried out the payment process to the provider of goods/services and the implementation of activities within the Ambon State Polytechnic did not comply with the provisions.

The prosecutor said that the defendant Fentje was suspected of committing a criminal act of corruption with the modus operandi of Wilma and Christina with the knowledge of the defendant Fentje to make a policy on several activities carried out by five providers of work packages.

According to the prosecutor, this act is an act of enriching oneself, namely the defendant Fentje and enriching others, namely Wilma and Christina, or at least enriching themselves to other people or a corporation, which can harm the state's finances or the country's economy.

The state financial loss in this case is in accordance with the results of the audit of the calculation of state financial losses by the BPKP RI Maluku Province Representative of Rp866,337,951 and a financial return of Rp605,735,000 has been carried out.

The defendants were charged with violating Article 2 paragraph (1) Juncto Article 18 of the Republic of Indonesia Law Number 20 of 2001 concerning amendments to Law Number 31 of 1999 concerning the eradication of corruption in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph (1) of the 1st Criminal Code.
