Hasto Says There Will Be Special Discussions On PDIP's Attitude In The New Government
Secretary General of the PDI-P (PDIP) Hasto Kristiyanto said his party had not taken a stand regarding the position in the upcoming government. He said the discussion would be held specifically.
This was conveyed by Hasto in response to the statement of presidential candidate number three, Ganjar Pranowo, who chose to be outside the government rather than fill the post of minister in the Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka government.
"The attitude of being inside and outside the government is a strategic political decision so that a special discussion will be carried out," said Hasto to reporters at the TPN Media Center Ganjar-Mahfud, Menteng, Central Jakarta, Monday, April 1.
Hasto has not specified when the special discussion will take place. However, he made sure this process would not be in the near future.
The reason is that the party bearing the symbol of the current bull is focusing on following the trial of the 2024 presidential election dispute at the Constitutional Court (MK).
"(The discussion and decision, ed) is not now because we are concentrating on the Constitutional Court and various legal remedies that will be made," he said.

Ganjar Pranowo some time ago stated that he chose to be outside the government rather than fill the post of minister. The former Governor of Central Java wants the supervisory function to be maximized against the new government.
"If I was outside, maybe it would be much better because checks and balances would definitely happen and more great ones in their respective groups, especially if we look at a lot of teams or political parties that support the candidate pairs, they must also have hope," said Ganjar in a written statement, Tuesday, March 26.
