These Three Trans Sumatra Toll Roads Use System Integration, Check Out The Mechanism

JAKARTA - In order to improve services to toll road users in the North Sumatra region and pay attention to the continuity of toll road user transactions, effective as of April 2, 2024 at 00.00 WIB, system integration will be implemented.

The integration of the toll collection system will be implemented on the Medan-Kualanamu-Tebing Tinggi (MKTT) Toll Road, the Kuala Tanjung-Tebing Tinggi-Parapat (Kutepat) Toll Road and the Indrapura-Kisaran (Inkis) Toll Road.

The three sections are part of the Trans-Sumatra Toll Road (JTTS) network.

One of the reasons for the deactivation of transactions at the Tebing Tinggi Toll Road (GT) has an impact on the deactivation of transactions at the Tebing Tinggi Toll Gate (GT) on the MKTT Toll Road.

Thus, the transaction mechanism will apply as follows:

- Toll road users from the Binjai-Stabat section, Medan-Binjai, Belawan Medan-Tanjung Morawa (Balmara) and the MKTT section which will go to the Tebing Tinggi-Indrapura Toll Road or the Inkik Toll Road will carry out substation tapping transactions on each of these sections and then transfer them to the Tebing Tinggi GT to then perform substation tapping transactions on GT belonging to the Tebing Tinggi-Indrapura Toll Road and the Inkik Toll Road and pay tariffs according to the origin of the destination.

- Toll road users from the Tebing Tinggi-Indrapura Toll Road and the Inkis Toll Road which will go to the Binjai-Stabat, Medan-Binjai, Balmera and the MKTT Section will conduct incoming substation tapping transactions on each of these sections and then transfer them to the Tebing Tinggi GT to then map out the substation at the toll gate belonging to the Binjai-Stabat, Medan-Binjai, Balmera and MKTT sections and pay tariffs according to their destination.

For your information, the 61.7 kilometer (km) MKTT Toll Road is managed by PT Jasamarga Kualanamu Tol and has been operating since 2017.

Next, the 28.3 km Tebing Tinggi-Indrapura Kutang Toll Road is managed by PT Hutama Marga Waskita and has been operating since November 2023.

Then, the 47.75 km Inkik Toll Road is managed by PT Hutama Karya (Persero) and has been operating in Section I (Indrapura-Five Puluh) since November 2023.

The three Toll Road Business Entities (BUJT) appeal to all road users to drive in accordance with the rules and regulations applicable on toll roads. Driving at a minimum speed of 60 km/hour and a maximum of 100 km/hour and not using the shoulder of the road except in an emergency.

Road users are asked to immediately rest at the nearest resting place if they feel sleepy. If there are complaints or seeing crimes on the toll road, immediately report to the Call Center of each toll road.
