Meanwhile, BMKG predicts rain with lighter intensity has the potential to occur in West Sumatra, Jakarta, Bali, West Nusa Tenggara, South Kalimantan and South Sulawesi.

In particular, heavy rains can occur in a number of big cities on the first day of April, including in the cities of Bengkulu, Yogyakarta, Gorontalo, Bandung, Pontianak, Samarinda, Bandar Lampung, Kupang, Pekanbaru, Manado and Padang.

According to the BMKG, light rain can occur in Denpasar, Serang, Jambi, Banjarmasin, Palangkaraya, Tarakan, Pangkal Pinang, Tanjung Pinang, Ambon, Ternate, Mataram, Jayapura, Manokwari, Mamuju, Makassar, Palembang, and Medan.

In the Jakarta area, light rain has the potential to fall in West Jakarta and South Jakarta during the day and night while East Jakarta is expected to experience rain in the morning and during the day.

BMKG also reminded that a number of provinces have the potential to fall into the alert category for the impact of heavy rains such as floods, including Aceh, North Sumatra, West Sumatra, Jambi, South Sumatra, Bengkulu, Lampung, West Java, and Central Java.
