Kia EV9 Wins Two Awards At The 2024 World Car Awards

JAKARTA - Recently, the Kia EV9 electric car bought two awards from the 2024 World Car Awards, namely the World Car of the Year and the World Electric Vehicle.

The World Car Awards are the best car awards selected by 100 automotive journalists representing 29 countries consisting of various categories. In this event, the judges considered the model to have innovative designs, spacious interiors, and competitive prices.

For the World Car of the Year category, Kia EV9 managed to beat the top three finalists, namely BYD Seal and Volvo EX30. Meanwhile in the World Electric Vehicle, this three-line SUV outperforms BMW i5 and Volvo EX30.

"This award confirms Kia's position as at the forefront of sustainable mobility solutions that surpass conventional cars," said Kia North America President and CEO Sean Yoon.

Kia EV9 has a dimension of a bongsor with a length of 5,015 mm, a width of 1,980 mm, a height of 1,780 mm, and a wheelbase of 3,100 mm.

Inside the cabin, there are three screens, including a 12.3-inch instrument cluster, a 5.3-inch climate control touch screen, and a 12.3-inch navigation touchscreen that supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

To improve driver safety and safety, Kia also provides features such as Smart Cruise Control, Blind-Spot Collision Avoidance Assist (BCCA) with Near-Cross Traffic Assist (RCTA), 360-degree views through monitors, and nine airbags spread across three cabin lines.

One of the top variants, EV9 GT-Line has a battery with a range of up to 495 km in one charge. Speaking of performance, this car is equipped with a driving wheel (AWD) and is capable of reaching a peak of 372 dk and 700 Nm torque.
