Suzuki Recall Baleno To Wagner In India, How About In Indonesia?

JAKARTA - Maruti Suzuki some time ago announced the recall or recall of more than 16,000 thousand units of popular hatchback models, namely Wagon R and Baleno for the local market (India).

Quoting from the Times of India page, the details were 11,851 Baleno units and 4,190 Rawon R units were affected by the recall.

The recall was caused by a potential problem with the fuel pump motor component which could cause the engine to turn off or the vehicle did not want to turn on. So what about the model in Indonesia?

Responding to the issue above PT Suzuki Indomobil Sales spoke up, through the General Manager of the Strategic Planning Department of PT SIS, Joshi Prasetya.

"For now, there is no information about it (recall) because the SOP for Suzuki Global is usually from the country that makes it will be informed to the export destination country," he told the media crew, Thursday, March 28, 2024.

Furthermore, he said that each country has different specifications. Therefore, until now there has been no information received.

"So, every country has different specifications. There (India), there are standard Stages and we (Indonesia) use the Euros," he said.

However, he ensured that if there was information related to the recall for the model above, it would be informed. Usually, the information will be submitted via Halo Suzuki.

"If there is further information, we will convey it at Halo Suzuki," he said.

So, it is certain that until this news is published there has been no more detailed information regarding the recall in India for the two models above.
