BRI Lunar Cash Dividend Remaining IDR 35.43 Trillion
JAKARTA - PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBRI) paid the remaining cash dividends of IDR 35.43 trillion. This amount is the same as IDR 235 per share to shareholders on March 28, 2024.
According to BRI, this dividend distribution is proof of the company's real commitment to creating economic value and social value for all stakeholders, especially to the people.
"BRI does business with the people and is processed by way of the people. BRI's profits are returned to the people through taxes and dividends," said BRI President Director Sunarso quoting Antara.
On January 18, 2024 or before the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (AGMS), BRI had distributed interim dividends to shareholders amounting to IDR 12.67 trillion or IDR 84 per share.
BRI AGMS on March 1, 2024, approved the distribution of dividends totaling IDR 48.10 trillion. This amount increased by 10.59 percent compared to the nominal paid in 2023 of IDR 43.49 trillion.
The dividend amount of IDR 48.10 trillion is the same as IDR 319 per share, which is equivalent to a dividend payout ratio of approximately 80.04 percent of the contribution profit.
As for the dividend of the State of the Republic of Indonesia for ownership of 53.19 percent of shares, BRI will deposit approximately Rp25.71 trillion to the State General Cash Account.
Sunarso said that BRI considered that currently the company has a strong capital structure and optimal liquidity in the context of business expansion and anticipation of risks that may occur in the future.

"With a dividend payment ratio of 80.04 percent, the company's CAR is still above the regulatory minimum," he said.
The company emphasizes that dividend payments prove that BRI as a BUMN that has an agent of development function and a value creator can carry out the role of simultaneous economic and social value.
Through tax payments and dividends, the profit will return to the state as the majority shareholder.
"Furthermore, this profit is used for the benefit of the Indonesian people through various government programs," said Sunarso as well.
