Calm The Homecoming Of Electric Car Owners, PLN Adds SPKLU On The Homecoming Route
JAKARTA - Welcoming Eid Al-Fitr 2024 homecoming, PLN Main Distribution Unit (UID) Jakarta Raya added 2 Public Electric Vehicle Charging Stations (SPKLU) at the Ulujami-Serpong Kilometer Toll Rest Area 7. The presence of SPKLU is very crucial to meet the electrical energy needs of travelers using electric cars.
General Manager of PLN UID Jakarta Raya, Lasiran conducted a direct inspection of the Ulujami-Serpong Toll Rest Area km.7 to ensure that SPKLU was ready to be used by the community. The two SPKLUs increase the number of SPKLUs and charging locations in the PLN UID work area of Greater Jakarta.
"Previously there were 82 chargers in 51 locations. With this addition, there are now 84 chargers in 52 locations," explained Lasiran.
General Manager of PLN UID Jakarta Raya, Lasiran said PLN increased the number of SPKLUs to make it easier for people who are intensively using electric cars. The existence of SPKLU can increase public confidence to switch from fueled vehicles to electricity.
Ahead of the Eid homecoming flow, Lasiran also appealed to travelers to be careful on their way. Make sure your physical condition is in good condition to drive. Especially for travelers using electric vehicles, it is also necessary to pay attention to the battery capacity of electric vehicles.
"Make sure it's fully occupied before leaving. If the battery starts to run low, you want to charge the battery, you can check the nearest SPKLU locations through the PLN Mobile application," added Lasiran.

PLN UID Jakarta Raya has also increased the SPKLU charger capacity on the Jakarta-Cikampek kilometer 6 toll road from the previous 25 kilowatt (kW) charging capacity to Ultra Fast Charging (UFC) with a charging capacity of 200 kilowatts (kW). With this UFC type charger, electric car owners can charge faster so they are not worried about a buildup at the SPKLU location.
"The addition of SPKLU in the Greater Jakarta area is also carried out by PLN to encourage the acceleration of electric vehicle infrastructure towards the energy transition, so that together we can realize Indonesia's net zero emissions 2060," concluded Lasiran.
