Digitalization Of Markets For Swords Called Can Anticipate Scarcity And Increase In Food Prices
JAKARTA - The Indonesian Market Management Association (Asparindo) will develop a market digitization platform for traders by cooperating with Rhyne Technologies LLC partners from the United States.
Chairman of Asparindo Y. Joko Setiyanto said that his party will focus on developing buying and selling transactions, paying gateways, e-wallet, and other fintech services.
"With this cooperation plan, Asparindo can contribute to improving existing human resources and selling turnover of market traders, as well as helping facilitate access and profiling for ease of capital," said Joko in Jakarta, Wednesday, March 27.
Joko hopes that this collaboration can improve competence, both market managers and market traders. It is possible, he continued, that Asparindo also encourages digitalization in other sectors such as MSMEs, fisheries, livestock and plantations.
"Since Asparindo was initiated in 2004, our work for 20 years has carried out programs that synergize with various ministries and institutions," he said.
Joko said that the digitization of this market could be an anticipation of the scarcity of food which caused an increase in prices.
Given, ahead of Eid al-Fitr, food prices in Jakarta are still not under control. Starting from rice, eggs, to vegetables soaring high. Not only residents, traders and market managers also complained about this condition.
"Indeed, this rice is very heavy. We can't blame the weather or anything, it all has to be considered. We Asparindo are trying to help the government," said Joko.

Although the price spike continues, he said food stocks are still safe. No exception, in Jakarta. Therefore, digitization related to food data can help market traders get stock of commodities that will be resold.
In the digitization system that will be removed, all transaction activities that use pens and paper in the markets can be facilitated by digitization.
He gave an example, so far traders who shop at Kramatjati Main Market are around 03.00 to 04.00 to fill their stalls. With this digitization, traders do not need to go to Kramatjati Main Market.
"Digitalization is very important. For example, the need for rice data for rice, what details. That's what we are starting to start with. With digitalization, it will facilitate distribution as well," he added.
