Improvement Of The Demak-Kudus Pantura Line Damaged By Floods Targeted To Be Completed Before The Homecoming Period
Central Java Police Dirlantas Kombes Sonny Irawan said the improvement of the Pantura route between Demak and Kudus districts which was damaged by flooding some time ago was confirmed to be completed before April 2024.
"The police have coordinated with the National Road Implementation Center regarding the damage to the Pantura road due to the flood," Sonny said in Semarang as reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, March 27.
According to him, there is a 500-meter-long road segment whose asphalt was peeling off due to the Demak flood.
Road repairs at KM 41 to 45 segments of Pantura Demak-Kudus whose asphalt is peeling, he said, will begin to be repaired from 27 to 30 March 2024

As for other damage caused by flooding on the Lebaran homecoming route, he said, in the form of potholes which will also be repaired.
He ensured that before April 2024, all roads in Central Java were ready to be used to support the smooth flow of the 2024 Eid homecoming.
"Everything is a concern, starting from toll roads, the Pantura, middle, and south routes," he said.
Including, he continued, the readiness of alternative routes if the threat of flood disasters strikes again.
Around 1.8 million travelers will pass through Central Java via toll roads.
He ensured the readiness of toll road managers in dealing with the increase in the number of daily vehicle routes during the homecoming flow which reached 4 percent compared to last year.
