Haven't Announced The Price Of The I5 Electric Sedan EDrive40 M Sport, This Is What BMW Said

JAKARTA - BMW Group Indonesia officially added its car line-up in Indonesia, this time introducing its newest electric sedan, the BMW i5 eDrive40 M Sport.

The presence of this luxury car is a further step in the company's positive trend as the leader of the premium electric vehicle segment in Indonesia, as well as the company's commitment to expanding the reach of environmentally friendly vehicles.

"We are proud to present the BMW i5 eDrive40 M Sport, which offers a unique, dynamic, comfortable, and fully electric driving experience, which increases BMW's signature driving advantage to a new level," said BMW Group Indonesia President Director Ramesh Divyanathan, in an official statement received on Tuesday, March 26.

Unfortunately, the price of the car was not clearly disclosed. According to the Director of Communications BMW Group Indonesia, Jodie O'tania, it was planned like that (not announcing the price).

"Indeed, it was planned like that, so we really want to build momentum for when we launch the 5 series because this is a legendary historical lot for BMW Indonesia, so it is building our momentum," he said, to the media crew, during the recent launch.

Furthermore, Jodie said, the price of the BMW i5 eDrive40 M Sport electric car will be announced in April 2024, shortly after launching alias after Eid.

When asked why he didn't spend the price at the launch, and regarding distribution and supply, he stressed that BMW had already planned a strategy.

"No (distribution and supply), indeed this is the direction of BMW's strategy and communication plan. We want to build awareness to build hype before announcing how much vehicles are priced together with availability for customers," concluded Jodie.
